At the heart of the business is the Interactive B2B Database which consists of the top 350 000 business and government decision makers in South Africa. Our business is built on the belief that marketing and communicating to new customers is paramount for the success of your business.

Company History

Interactive Direct was started in 1991 by Tony Sham, who at the time, was a marketing researcher and statistician by training and background. Being a compulsive database builder, he became interested in the power of direct marketing and set about compiling what is known today as the Interactive Business Database.

After a few short months, Tony began to realize the true potential of the Interactive Business Database. Smaller companies who couldn’t afford massive billboard advertising or radio and TV advertising became interested in marketing directly to their target market for a fraction of the price.

With the advent of e-mail, direct marketing became that much more economical and a new sector in the direct marketing industry was born. As the Internet began to revolutionize the way companies did business with each other so opportunities arose for direct marketing to grow as a medium.
